Bibliographies were extracted from the Web of Science Core Collection, specifically those published between January 1, 1985, and December 31, 2021. The search criteria involved the terms: photodynamic therapy and skin cancer. By using VOSviewer (Version 16.13), R software (Version 41.2), and Scimago Graphica (Version 10.15), visualization analysis and statistical analysis were performed.
Analysis was conducted on a collection of 3248 selected documents. The study's findings revealed a continuous upward trend in the number of annual publications regarding photodynamic therapy (PDT) for skin cancer, which is projected to continue. The results indicated that melanoma, nanoparticles, drug delivery mechanisms, and in-vitro testing, along with delivery methods, constitute new areas of investigation. The University of São Paulo, Brazil, the most productive institution, was matched only by the United States, the most prolific country. The most prolific publications on PDT in skin cancer stem from the German researcher RM Szeimies. Amongst all journals in this dermatological domain, the British Journal of Dermatology garnered the greatest recognition and appeal.

Our research yielded bibliometric data on the field, which may illuminate future research opportunities. Their wide band gaps and attractive photoelectric properties have established gallium oxides as a topic of extensive research. Often, the creation of gallium oxide nanoparticles uses a combination of solvent-based approaches and subsequent heat treatment, but the details of solvent-based formation processes are poorly documented, consequently limiting material optimization. Employing in situ X-ray diffraction, this study investigated the formation mechanisms and crystal structure transitions of gallium oxides produced via solvothermal synthesis. Ga2O3 readily establishes itself across a vast spectrum of environmental conditions. Alternatively, -Ga2O3 is produced only when temperatures are above 300 degrees Celsius, and its prior existence invariably indicates its crucial function in the process leading to -Ga2O3's creation. In situ X-ray diffraction data acquired at multiple temperatures in ethanol, water, and aqueous NaOH, when analyzed via kinetic modeling of the corresponding phase fractions, indicated an activation energy of 90-100 kJ/mol for the formation of -Ga2O3 from -Ga2O3. At low temperatures, GaOOH and Ga5O7OH are formed within an aqueous solvent; these precipitates are also producible from -Ga2O3. The systematic alteration of synthesis parameters, namely temperature, heating rate, solvent, and reaction time, reveals their significant influence on the obtained product. Reports on solid-state calcination studies frequently contrast with the observed reaction paths in solvent-based systems. Advanced electrode materials are crucial for ensuring that the future battery supply can adequately meet the continuously increasing demand for energy storage solutions. Additionally, a detailed study of the many physical and chemical attributes of these materials is needed to enable the same level of nuanced microstructural and electrochemical control as is achievable with conventional electrode materials. A series of simple dicarboxylic acids is employed in a comprehensive investigation of the poorly understood in situ reaction occurring between dicarboxylic acids and the copper current collector during electrode formulation. Our analysis primarily centers around the relationship between the reaction's size and the inherent properties of the acid. In addition, the degree of the reaction was shown to alter the electrode's microstructure and its electrochemical functionality. Using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and small and ultra-small angle neutron scattering (SANS/USANS), an unparalleled level of microstructural detail is attained, facilitating a more profound understanding of performance-enhancing formulation strategies. The conclusive determination was that copper-carboxylates, and not the parent acid, constituted the active material; in some instances, such as copper malate, capacities of 828 mA h g-1 or higher were observed. Examining the influence of a pathogen on a host's ailment demands samples that represent the complete spectrum of pathogenesis. By examining methylation array data from cervical samples of women without disease, with or without oncogenic HPV infection, we developed the WID-HPV signature. This signature reflects alterations in the healthy host epigenome due to high-risk HPV strains. The signature demonstrated an AUC of 0.78 (95% CI 0.72-0.85) in disease-free women. Observing HPV-related changes during disease development, HPV-infected women with mild cytological alterations (cervical intraepithelial neoplasia grade 1/2, CIN1/2) exhibit a significantly higher WID-HPV index, in contrast to those with precancerous or invasive cervical cancer (CIN3+). This observation implies that the WID-HPV index may indicate a successful viral clearance response, a factor missing in cancer progression. Subsequent analysis indicated a positive correlation between WID-HPV and apoptosis (p < 0.001; = 0.048), while a negative correlation was found between WID-HPV and epigenetic replicative age (p < 0.001; = -0.043). In summary, our data demonstrates that the WID-HPV procedure identifies a clearance response, stemming from the demise of HPV-infected cells. The inherent susceptibility to dampening or loss of this response, stemming from the elevated replicative age of infected cells, can facilitate cancer development.
